Supergoop Mineral Sheer Screen SPF 30 PA+++ sunscreen lotion

Quick Summary:

Date Tested: 3/23/2024

In this Supergoop Mineral Sheer Screen SPF 30 PA+++ sunscreen lotion review, I test a decent SPF 30 sunscreen that performs like an SPF 30-40 sunscreen.

The Supergoop Mineral Sheer Screen sunscreen is a mineral based formulation using the UV filter Zinc Oxide at 17.5% concentration. I believe this is one of the first products Supergoop! has released that is mineral based.

The Supergoop Mineral Sheer Screen SPF 30 PA+++ did an decent job of blocking UVA by 90.73%, filtering UVB by 89.22%, and cutting down total UVI by 90.64%. For an SPF 30, this is a spot on, if not a bit higher performing than the SPF 30 indicates.

The Supergoop Mineral Sheer Screen has a low viscosity. However, the distribution of active ingredients looks pretty bad. I would say it looks very bad! Despite this, the results from testing are decent.

Testing notes:

I believe this is one of the few, if not the first physical/mineral based sunscreen offerings Supergoop! has released. Things seem to be doing what they should, although, more testing in the real world will needs to be done. However, the in vitro testing results speak for itself and I do recommend this sunscreen.
