I admit, I am quite partial to the cute graphics Round Lab adorns their product packaging with. At first glance, I thought the illustration on the tube was just of an ocean and some sea rocks. Upon closer inspection, I noticed one of the rocks was a sea otter instead. Cute, clean, and happy! Just like the name Round Lab. Like, what does that even mean?
The Round Lab 1025 Dokdo SPF 50 sunscreen lotion is a chemical sunscreen formulation using the active ingredients of Ethylhexyl Triazone, Terephthalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Polysilicone-15, and Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine.
The Round Lab 1025 Dokdo sunscreen reduced 94.05% of UVA, 90.07% UVB, and 93.83% of total UVI. Strong results!

Round Lab 1025 Dokdo sunscreen lotion characteristics at a glance:
- Easily washable formula that can be easily removed even with the first face wash, so even sensitive skin can use it with confidence.

Prepared slide BEFORE testing
The Round Lab 1025 Dokdo SPF 50 did not look like it would test well considering the very thin layer in the center of the prepared slide sample.
Being a chemical based formula, this isn’t as crucial, but a thin layer typically results in lower scores. Surprisingly, the thin layer was not an issue for this sunscreen.

Testing notes:
Although the sample slide indicated uneven distribution of the lotion, the sunscreen tested quite well. If Round Lab can tweak its formulation to distribute more evenly, this sunscreen could be even better!
