In this Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 55 sunscreen lotion review, I review a high performing sunscreen from a brand I like.
Its been a while since my last updates as I have been focusing on building an open source protein purification machine for the Open Insulin Foundation (which is almost complete), and was wrapping up the last semester at my local community college (got an A in chemistry and an A in stats!). I figure its best to bust out a few more reviews before my surgical tech program starts up on Monday so here they are. Pardon my brevity!
The Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 55 sunscreen (thanks again for the sample Christi!) is a chemical based formulation using the UV filters of Avobenzone at 3%, Homosalate at 10%, Octisalate at 5%, and Octocrylene at 10% concentration.
The Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 55 did an excellent job of blocking UVA by 98.21%, filtering UVB by 96.97%, and cutting down total UVI by 98.13%. For an SPF 55, this is a good result.
