Black Girl Sunscreen Make it Matte SPF 45 Gel sunscreen lotion

Quick Summary:

Date Tested: 09/25/2022

In this Black Girl Sunscreen Make it Matte SPF 45 Gel sunscreen lotion review, I find another fantastic clear gel sunscreen which provides very very strong sun protection. So good in fact, I used the leftover sample for myself for a few days afterwards!

The Black Girl Sunscreen Make it Matte is a chemical (organic) based sunscreen which contains a high percentage of the chemical ultraviolet light blocking filters of Avobenzone (3%), Homosalate (10%), Octisalate (5%), and Octocrylene (10%). It is also remarkably low in additional inactive ingredients, which was an interesting observation, since most sunscreen I have tested usually augment their formula with lots of other inactive ingredients for one reason or another. Does this mean a lower amount of active ingredients can be used to still account for a higher percentage in terms of overall ingredients (which makes the formulation cheaper)?

Either way, The Black Girl Sunscreen Make it Matte SPF 45 dropped UVI by 99.78%, blocked UVA by 99.90%, and filtered UVB by 98.14%. Extremely high scores for an SPF 45. Very good Black Girl Sunscreen, very good indeed.

Testing notes:

The test results really do speak for themselves…Black Girl Make it Matte SPF 45 is an amazing sunscreen. So good actually, that I used some of the leftover sample on myself for a few days. I like it, and if I could find it under $20 I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it for myself. Also, my son tried it and liked it too.
