Quick Summary:

In this Banana Boat Kids Sport Roll On sunscreen review, my tests reveal that you’ll want to roll right on by this product and choose another. This is an unfortunate finding since I typically like Banana Boat products. I suppose this is why I test the sunscreeenzzzz?
The Banana Boat Kids Sport Roll On sunscreen is a chemical (organic) based sunscreen which contains the chemical UV filters of Avobenzone (3%), Homosalate (9%), Octisalate (4.5%), and Octocrylene (6.5%).
The Banana Boat Kids Sport reduced UVI by 56.31%, filtered UVA by 56.61%, and blocked UVB by 51.18%. Pretty terrible results for an SPF 60+

Prepared slide ready for testing
The Banana Boat Kids Sport Roll-On is thin and watery, as evidenced by the dispersion and uneven distribution. I suppose the formulation had to be roll-on friendly, but that seems to have contributed to the sunscreens ineffectiveness.
Below are the results from 2 hours of testing in my UV testing station.

UV test results:

UVA | 23673 | 10272 | 56.61% |

UVI | 13.91 | 6.08 | 56.31% |
Testing notes:
When I think about this product, I consider the failing of this sunblock to be one of distribution method. By all means, the active ingredients in the proportions used should be an effective concoction, yet seems to be the requirement to have this be a roll-on product which seems to have mangled its effectiveness. In the prepared slide sample, one can see how thinly and inconsistent the formulation appears to distribute. When taking into account sunscreen application layer thickness and its corresponding effectiveness, this adds up to a losing combination.
This is a bad sunscreen. Just don’t buy it. Not Recommended.
