Sometime during the 41st year of my life on earth, my doctor told me I needed to wear sunscreen. I then did what any person would do and hit the internet to find THE BEST SUNSCREEN. Countless hours and keyword searches later however, I was really right back where I started. Finding a sunscreen tester web site fit for the consumer was difficult, most were solely B2B. For the consumer searching for sunscreen testing and data, results returned mostly subjective opinions about the feeling of sunscreen, but not the effectiveness of it.
To make matters worse, the terms of sunscreen effectiveness (like SPF, Broad Spectrum, and PA+++) themselves meant different things to different people. How was one to really know if one sunscreen product was better than another? In our day and age, I believed it shouldn’t be so difficult to find objective testing on something like sunscreen effectiveness, so I decided to do it myself.
So come follow along in my journey of sunscreen testing, one bottle at a time.
